Click it up a Notch - I Learned

Click for a larger clearer picture :-)

This week I learned to schedule time for my photography. I often take my camera on family outings and sometimes wonder away for a while to take photos; but I'd never actually set out in my car with my camera to take photos before. So on Sunday afternoon I did. It didn't take much extra time. I just dropped by the local lake for an hour on the way to buy groceries.
I also set myself a Month in Macro project, so I've been taking a macro shot a day. I'm really enjoying shooting in macro and I think I'm getting better shots now...hopefully!
This is my favourite so far. I think my husband thought I was crazy when I ran outside early in the morning to kneel in the grass and take photos.
I forgot to put my settings,  f/11, 1/250, ISO 400

Added this one if anyone is interested. Taken the same morning.

Hi Sara,
Thanks for the comments on my blog. I've been trying for days to comment here with no success. I Googled the problem and it seems to be a known issue. Anyway, their workaround works for the time being.

Love this shot. Isn't it funny the things you do for a shot?

What kindo of lens are you using for your macro shots? I'd like to get a macro lens one of these days.

Hi Lisa, thanks, it's a 50mm 1.8 together with an extension tube 25mm. I have a post about it if you're interested.
