I love dew drops, the clarity and sparkle and how sometimes you can see another world reflected inside!
All of these shots were taken at Rainbow Beach, my heart place! I love going there, I draw energy and creativity from being there. I can't wait for the next school holiday so we can go again.

If you're interested I have a post about my extension tube here.
My settings for Anna and anyone else interested:
F/10 - 11, ISO 400, SS 1/50 - 1/800, they are all hand held, someday I should try with a tripod.
As far as the clarity and sparkle I try to watch the light, that it's reflecting off the drop. It helps if they are hanging free, I find ones sitting on a leaf tend not to look as clear.
They have to be focused precisely. The images reflected inside can be focused too, but most were honestly just luck! I always focus manually, because the auto focus searching drives me crazy and I just set my focusing ring then sway in and out till I see focus where I want it then brace and snap.
In post processing I add some sharpening and sometimes contrast, and in the top two I adjusted the colour saturation.
Hope this helps, just yell out if there was anything else you wondered about.
Thank you! :-)

WOW - these are magical.
These are beautiful, the third shot is my favorite.
Sara, these are amazing!!! You are quite the technical wizard! I have a macro lens but haven't been able to get the clarity of reflections in any raindrops, like you have captured. Could you pass on any tips for me? Such as the f stop, shutter, and ISO combo that you were using. I'm assuming that you use a tripod?! Magical work.
These are incredibly gorgeous and thanks for the tips! I always think the dew is lovely - but difficult to photograph. :)
Sara these are amazing, really beautiful.
these drops are gorgeous! I want to be able to take such shots some day!
Your post on the extension tubes was very helpful! I'm definitely tending towards extension tubes.

Sara, these are amazing photographs, and given that I did some of these earlier in the summer, I know just how much work it is! Truly so very beautiful!

These are all so lovely! Wonderful work!
Jewels. Who knew dew could be so beautiful?!
We take the little things like dew drops for granted. But they are so lovely...you captured them perfectly.
I must say that I'm coming back to your blog again tonight because I just love your work. When I saw these water droplets I called my husband over to look. You have a tremendous eye, and I love to see what your setting are! Amazing!
This is an absolutely stunning collection!
