Scavenger Hunt - Water, Light, Chocolate, Animal & Crowded

Another week has gone by and now it's time for some scavenging! I really enjoyed this week's prompts.
So here are my interpretations.

1. Water
Looking down a glass bottle. I love the recycle symbol in the bottom, it makes me think of the water cycle and how precious water is to us!

2. Light
This dragonfly seemed to be posing for me and enjoying the dusk light. Taken with my 50mm and extension tube.

3. Chocolate
I love dark chocolate!

4. Animal
Processed with Paint the Moon Silver Spoon action and my 2econd Skin texture
A seagull, I think he's so full of personality!

5. Crowded
Florabella Ethereal texture applied
All these mollusks were crammed into this small crack in a sea wall. I think it was pretty crowded! Taken with my 50mm and extension tube.

Can't wait to see everyone's interpretations!

Scavenger Hunt - Routine, Music, Technology, Show me your Style & Mismatched

What a busy week! I considered not doing the hunt this week but didn't want to miss another week. I haven't had much time for photography. I spent most of the week tracking down printable school resources for my son to use at home. I was pulling my hair out trying to track down a printable number line for maths. I eventually found exactly what I was looking for here. There are also printable addition and subtraction games that are really fun. If anyone has found any fun sites for school resources I'd love to hear about them, feel free to link in the comments.
Anyway here are my interpretations of this week's prompts.

1. Routine
I always kick myself in the morning for not going to bed earlier the night before. If our son doesn't come and wake us up in the morning we always need the alarm to wake up in time. And it's always tempting to hit the snooze button.

2. Music
A draw-knob on my Great Grandfather's reed organ or harmonium. I completely missed out on the musical gene but many of my ancestors were musicians or at least very musical. My great grandfather's would play this organ when there were get togethers or parties. He also played at weddings and funerals.

3. Technology
Old technology, an old typewriter.

4. Show me your Style
It was so hard to sum up my style in one photo, but I love a dreamy soft quality.
Somehow I missed that this was supposed to be your fashion style...oops!

5. Mismatch
Jane Austen was always so preoccupied with mismatched marriages, but I love to get lost in her books.

I apologise to those I didn't have time to visit last week, I hope to make it up this week.

Scavenger Hunt - Crossed, A Glimpse, Handwritten, Bliss & Grey

I had to take a break last week, but I'm back in the game this week. So here's my interpretations for SHS.

1. Crossed
Fingers crossed for sunny weather. My son was sick earlier in the week, then we get to the weekend and it's raining. So no playing outside, especially as all the recent rain has led to a whole heap of snakes hanging around my mum's place, Aargh!! But we still had fun indoors!

2. A Glimpse
Pixel Lounge Warm Scratches texture applied
I was searching through my mum's playroom (for the grand-kids) and I found my niece's jewelry box. I love how you get a glimpse of the ballerina in the mirror behind.

3. Handwritten
My 2econd Skin Old Paper 5 and Sarah Gardner Score textures applied
My Mormor's (maternal grandmother) handwritten letters are treasured by me. I love how they're in a cursive style that's immediately recognisable as her handwriting.

4. Bliss
Processed with Paint the Moon Silver Spoon action and Isabelle Lafrance Make a Wish & Starry Night Overlays applied
"If I could reach up and hold a star for every time you made me smile, I would have the whole night sky in the palm of my hand." ~ Unknown
My son is my bliss, he makes every little thing worthwhile and everything wonderful!

5. Grey
A grey rainy day!

And for a completely different take on grey, I loved how this old engraved vase and actually my homemade reflector in the background gave a metallic grey feel to this photo.

Scavenger Hunt - Facial Features, Shadow, Spicy, Gold & Fabric

Personal Alert...Another week has gone by and this week I really thought I wouldn't get the Scavenger Hunt done. I've been in such a funk the last few weeks, my son has gone back to school and although you'd think I'd have more time, it's just been so hard to stay motivated. I've helped out in the class room a few times and he's had 1-2 hours of homework a night, crazy for year 1! Anyway I hope I can shake myself out of this. So here's the prompts and my photos for this week.

1. Facial Features
Processed with Isabelle Lafrance Everyday Vintage & Florabella Heirloom & Tranquility textures applied
My son's features reflected in my little vanity mirror from my purse.

2. Shadow
Florabella Bombay  & Sarah Gardner Score textures
We were trying to have a "Where The Wild Things Are" moment. My son's wearing a crown and being the king of wild things. I think I may have left it too late to go outside though and the shadow is a bit too stretched. Might try it again another time.

3. Spicy
Florabella Shabby Scratch II & Burnished textures
A measure of chilli powder! Mmmm, makes me hungry for Chilli Con Carne!

4. Gold
Florabella Senorita & Truffle textures
A gold necklace my husband bought me. :-)

5. Fabric
Cheating a little bit, but it's been a hard week! Showing more of the "Facial Features" photo above, revealing more of the fabric background.

Can't wait to see everyone's interpretations!

Scavenger Hunt - Strike a Pose, Footwear, Hobby, Shiny & Colour me Green

This week has been quite crazy, I didn't even know if I would do SHS heading into the weekend, but with some stretching I've managed it.

1. Strike a Pose
We went to the Botanical Gardens yesterday and I went looking for dragonflies, this one struck a pose, then flew away.
Edit: Yes, this is actually a damselfly, a Common Bluetail Damselfly to be precise, as I said it's been a crazy week and the old brain isn't working very well. :-)

2. Footwear
I love this vintage t-shirt of my son's, it has really cool footwear on it, unfortunately he's growing out of it. But I love the boy inside even more, picking flowers for mummy here!

3. Hobby
I got into cross stitch before I had my son, but since he's been born I just haven't had time.

4. Shiny
I put some shiny Christmas baubles inside my birds nest.

5. Colour Me Green
I got this watercolour splatter idea from Rosie at Leavesnbloom Studio. I used Watercolour Splatters Photoshop brushes.
