Scavenger Hunt - Abstract, Round, Fire, Seeing Faces & Stars

Sunday again, and another of Ashley Sisk's Scavenger Hunts.  Some of the prompts this week had me a bit stumped initially. I didn't want to interpret them straight, so I tried to think outside the box a bit.

1. Abstract
I wasn't thinking of the Scavenger Hunt when I took this shot. I just noticed a small boat tied up under the board walk along the river in the city last Sunday. I liked the reflections in the water in front of it. You can see the rope snaking through the middle to the foreground where the sky is reflected but otherwise I don't actually know what was making these strange striped reflections, maybe the railing?  I ran a Cross Processing action on it just to change the water around the reflections to a bluey inky colour instead of the brown it actually was, the reflections stayed mostly unchanged though.

2. Round
I love the colours and patterns inside marbles. These kept rolling round as I was trying to photograph them as they are perfectly round.
3. Fire

4. Seeing Faces in Strange/Unexpected Places
This prompt had me stumped! I think I ended up with a strange face instead!
Can you figure out what's going on?
I'm sitting in the car while my son sprays it with the hose. It didn't turn out exactly as planned but I like the ripples of water and colours.

5 Stars
I've always wanted to do one of these photos, didn't turn out exactly as planned, he couldn't blow the stars very far but you see a couple in the air. I processed it a bit to get the feel I wanted. I think I'll definitely try this again.

Your fire shot makes me want to jump in the tub with the lights off and some calming candles. Really pretty shot.

Love your abstract Sara - it's a piece of art and I love the centres of marbles too. I never had a big marble collection as a child but I made sure my boys did........ well they really were for me LOL.

Your candle image looks just so soft and so inviting while you seeing faces one is just incredible. I love how the water had fallen like little balls of ripples on the windscreen. I would never have guessed it was all from a hosepipe. My favourite has to be your last one and the processing done to the image - what a great idea to try aswell!

Well I think you have made an excellent effort and you interpret the topics very well... My favourite is your child spraying water onto car window and the first shot of the water.
