Journey Around the Sun - Days 79 through 85

So this is the first week of our holiday at Rainbow Beach, I decided to do it in two lots to avoid one big long post and I'm struggling through the editing.
At the beginning of this week I was so sick and spent most days just sitting on the veranda, I still actually have the cough but it's more irritating than being really sick now. My husband could only get one week off, the second one, so this week I was flying solo and so I didn't take the camera to the beach much, I was scared of getting it all sandy, I had to use the blower on it a lot and I lost count of the number of times I dropped the lens cap in the sand, but at least it wasn't the whole camera!

Wild Liriope flowers, these were flowering along the path to the beach, they are so sweet I think, taken with my 50mm together with an extension tube, so they are pretty little!

Spinifex grasses on the beach. I just learnt something, these are the male plants, I have some female plants later in my second week, which have spiky inflorescence. Wow, I did not know that. I love the Internet!

Day Eighty Two
Both Photos Florabella Olive Juice texture applied
Vine tendrils, taken with my 50mm together with an extension tube.

Chambord and Shabby Scratch textures by Florabella applied and processed with Isabelle Lafance Soulful Everyday Vintage
Michelia Coco, a type of Magnolia.
Day Eighty Three

My mum has a house here, which is where we stay. She actually made these stain glass windows for the dining room of her house, designed and cut the glass herself and did the lead lighting. Aren't they beautiful.

Day Eighty Four
Both photos processed with The CoffeeShop Blog Velvet Truffle action
When it was too hot on the beach my son painted pictures of the shells he's collected on the beach.

Day Eighty Five

Both photos processed with Isabelle Lafrance Soulful Everyday Vintage action
Shells and patterns on the beach.
Processed with Paint the Moon Warm Chai action & Florabella Sonata texture applied
The sun setting in the garden, Dracaena and garden bokeh.

As I was scrolling through them all, I was thinking "ooh! I like THAT one, I need to comment on it. Wait, I like THAT one too." Anyway, my list got too long to comment on all the ones I liked so well done. They are all gorgeous!

Oh Sara...where do I begin? Your son is adorable and very photogenic. Love the comp in that first photo with his little engineer hat...and love all the color and bokeh in the one of him painting.
Your photos have such beautiful detail..the sand and shadow shots are breathtaking and if you had a sea theme in your house...these would be beautiful on the wall. really beautiful set here.
